USATF National Junior Olympics Youth News
The Adirondack Association would like to congratulate all the
local runners who qualified and participated in the National Junior
Olympics Cross Country Championships in Carrollton, Georgia. Many
local runners weathered the cold, soggy conditions and proved that
the weather would not be a factor for them.
Special congratulations go out to the Argyle-Lites team for finishing
in first place in the Midget Girls 3K race. The
overall 1st place finisher representing Argyle was crowned the new
Midget Girls National Junior Olympic Cross Country Champion, leading
the team to victory. The team had a great season with the strongest
finish of the year. Way to Go Argyle!!!
A notable mention also goes out to members of the Troy Trail Blazer
team’s 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the Midget and Intermediate
Boys races, with Troy finishing within the top ten teams at the
Intermediate level.
Athletes from The Lake Placid Iron Kids, Averill Park Road Runners,
and The Adirondack Runners along with other local runners all made
a strong showing in their divisions. For a complete list of the
results please visit USATF
National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships.
The Adirondack Association is proud of everyone for their hard
work and dedication that brought each athlete to this level. Your
pursuit of excellence will continue to contribute to the sport of
running and the Adirondack Association. Happy New Year with many
happy Runs in the New Year!!!
